Gum Treatment

Gums are the tissues surrounding the teeth and covering the lower part of the tooth and the supporting tooth structures.

Normally gums are coral pink in healthy state. When it turns to be more red , this means that a professional dental cleaning is needed.

Signs of gum inflammation include among others:

• Redness

• Bleeding on brushing and flossing

• Slight discomfort around the teeth

 

When the inflamed gums are left untreated, inflammation reaches the supporting tooth structures, a condition that needs further dental treatment by deep cleaning the tissues.  Otherwise, the supporting bone will be lost leading to subsequent loss of the teeth even if they are sound.
